It still feels a little unreal. Form in Motion was more than a theater performance; it became an evening where everything I’ve been working on over the past years came together.
In the theater, the images came to life. Photographs that usually exist on paper or on walls gained rhythm, tension, and space. Through projection, music, and storytelling, something new emerged—something you didn’t just watch, but truly experienced.
From Looking to Experiencing
What struck me the most was how the audience moved with the work. Moments of silence, recognition in details, conversations that continued immediately afterward. Architecture was momentarily freed from the building itself and transformed into form, light, and movement.
The show felt like a natural extension of the book. While the book invites quiet, attentive viewing, Form in Motion offered a collective moment of experiencing the work.
The Journey Behind the Evening
What made this experience even more special was the journey leading up to it. Everything started as an idea: a performance that would bring my photographic work to life. From there, it involved finding a publisher, planning the book release, booking a theater, and putting together the show—all organized by myself. Along the way, a small team came together to support with technical, production, and execution aspects. From the initial concept to the final print and live performance, I learned so much. It was an intense process full of challenges, but the result and the experience were more than worth it.
Encounters and Conversations
After the performance, the focus shifted to connecting with people. Photographers, designers, architects, art lovers—people from different backgrounds, but with a shared sensitivity to form and image.
The conversations flowed naturally: about photography, architecture, making choices, and, of course, the book. It was special to see how the work was not only viewed, but also became a starting point for dialogue.
The Book Release at the Center
The moment when the book was finally held, flipped through, and discussed gave the evening extra significance. Years of work suddenly had weight—literally and figuratively. Not as an endpoint, but as something that now has its own journey.
The signing session, the reactions, the personal conversations: it made the release intimate and tangible.
Gratitude and Pride
I look back with a deep sense of gratitude. For everyone who attended, for the openness of the audience, for the energy in the space. Form in Motion felt like a confirmation that images, when shared, can truly move people.
This evening was not a conclusion, but a beginning.
Thank you to everyone who was part of this moment.
